MMSSSL Kolkata in association with Raindrops E&M is organizing “PEHCHAN – Run for Identity-Run for a Cause” on the International Women’s Day, 8th March 2020.
Menstrual hygiene is a huge problem in India. Unfortunately, menstruation is a subject that still largely remains a taboo. About 85% of our women do not have access to menstrual hygiene products. Together we can help make a difference in these women’s lives. In a move to provide menstrual hygiene products to underprivileged girls and women and to reach out to women with no access or awareness about menstrual hygiene, it is a unique initiative by MMSSSL & Raindrops E&M to distribute sanitary pads free of cost to the needy girls while enhancing their awareness levels on the subject of menstrual hygiene.
Violence against Women is one of the most common social issues prevailing in India. No matter if it is Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Delhi, Mumbai or Kolkata, Women in India suffer the same plight everywhere. Self-defense for women has become a necessity more than ever. It is very important for women in India to learn self-defense for their own safety and survival. Self-defense builds confidence in women, empowers them to deal with any situation and set an example for others. A woman who is confident, successful and does not rely on the protection of others to keep her safe is an inspiration to us all. MMSSSL & Raindrops E&M vows to provide free self defense training to women to fight back against all odds.
Women are the pioneers of a nation. Women play a crucial role in the society as a mother, sister, daughter and wife. Even after thousands of years of oppression, the importance of women in the society has always been undeniably huge. Now the time has come, join us in our mission to empower women by providing them self defense training and let’s create a world in which every woman and girl can manage her menstruation in a hygienic way.
Let’s celebrate the Womanhood. With raindrops for a cause . . . for a change
