First of its kind OMR run organized by the Rotary Club of Chennai Upscale, in aid of transforming the Govt. School of Pudupakkam and post that, other govt schools in this area. We want to bring quality in their education and enable them to fulfill their dream of working in companies that are in their backyard.

You are here because you are an avid runner and are aged above 16 years. Come join the many runners on the beautiful flat roads of OMR as you take in the lovely morning breeze. We have entertainments planned through the run that will keep you intrigued as you run for a cause. We are sure the goody bag with the medal is going to be much sought after.



When is the last date of registration?

Registrations closing on 29th January or earlier

How do I register for the event?

Register online at using either your Credit/Debit card or Net Banking account. If you have received a scratch card, this can be redeemed online as well.

What is the ‘Pay and Register’ scratch card?

This is provided to enable those who are not comfortable paying online. After paying the value of the run, you collect this from one of the organizers and use the scratch card code to enter at eventjini.

Does the ‘Pay and Register” card entitle me to run?

No. Your holding the scratch card only means that you have paid for the run. However, you need to register at to get the running bib and thereby entitle you to run.

What are the rates for registration?

Registration fee for all race categories (full marathon, half marathon and 10k) is Rs 750/- only.

I missed the last date of registration, can I register now?

No, we will absolutely not entertain any last minute requests for registration

What do I get for the amount I pay during registration?

A running number bib (without which you will not be allowed on the course) a race T-shirt, a finisher’s medal, goody bag worth Rs 5,000 and a hearty healthy breakfast. On race day you can also expect baggage handling, oncourse hydration, medical support, and of course a great running experience with tons of music and fun!

How old must I be to run in OMR RUN?

16 years old (Born on or before Feb 1, 2001) for the 10km race; the other categories don’t have any age restriction.

What age proof do I need to show for registration?

Age proof could be your Passport, Driver’s License, PAN card or a bonafide from school, which will need to be shown on bib collection day (not during registration).

Why is there an age criterion for this running event?

Distance running is a strenuous activity and is not recommended for young children. We insist that all runners meet the age criteria to ensure their safety and medical well-being.

The online portal failed during my registration. What do I do?

Do not panic. We are here to help. If you are using scratch card, then please check that you have entered the details correctly. You can also reach out to the contact details provided on eventjini during registrations.

Can I cancel my registration after I have paid?

Unfortunately, we will not be able to entertain cancellation of registration.

Will I get a refund if I cancel a registration made using the scratch card?

No, unfortunately, we will not be able to refund any amount back to the scratch card if such a registration is cancelled.

Can I change my race category after registration?

We are unable to change this.

Can I register multiple runners using the same Email ID?


I would like to register a large number of people (25 or above) for the event either from a corporate organization or from a single association (colleges, residential associations, charity organization etc). What do I do?

Who organizes the OLYMPIA OMR RUN?

OMR RUN is organized by the Rotary Club of Chennai Upscale, a not-forprofit club with generous and valuable assistance and support from our all event partners and sponsors.

What are the race categories offered at OMR Run?

Avid Runners (10KM), Yes I can run (5KM) and Family runs (3KM)

What are the start and end points of the various races in OMR Run?

Both are in Sathyabama University.

What is the prize money on offer at the event?

This event is run for charity and there are no prizes offered. We are however offering gift vouchers worth Rs. 5000 and also giving various spot prizes on the event date.

When will I get my running bib / T-shirt?

All running bibs and T-shirts will be distributed on Expo Day – February 3rd and 4th 2017. Please see the Expo section below for more details. Also visit for details.

Can I run the race without a running bib?

No bib, no run. This allows us to ensure that only registered runners are running the event and helps us in giving them a safe and enjoyable running experience.

When and where can outstation runner collect the BIB?

There is no separate BIB distribution for outstation runners.

Is there parking available at the venue?

Yes, parking is available on a first come first basis. Please arrive in time to ensure you get parking at the venue



What charities are being supported?

The Rotary Club of Chennai Upscale (RCCU) is organizing this run to further its social goals. RCCU is collecting funds to support the local government schools. Improvement of infrastructural facilities, provision of academic resources including manpower and teaching aids in these schools are some initiatives being done.

What you need to bring to the Expo

Copy of the confirmation e-mail/SMS [print out or on a smart phone]

An original photo ID & Age proof [Drivers license, Pan card, Voter ID, Passport, Student ID]

Note: In case you are unable to attend the expo, you can send a representative. He/ She needs to bring an authorization letter signed by you and a photocopy of your Photo ID & Age Proof

Please note that your entry to The Olympia OMR RUN is non transferable.

  1. Please choose the event category carefully, confirmed registrations are non-refundable, non-transferable and cannot be modified. Provide us with a secure email ID/mobile no that you can access regularly, since this will be our primary means of communication during the run up to the event.
  2. Users of email services that offer filtering/blocking of messages from unknown email address should add this email id help@eventjini.comto their address list.
  3. We will be sending regular updates to the Mobile number you have provided in the registration form this should be not treated as spam and you shall not take any action against our bulk sms service provider.
  4. Any notice sent to the email address registered with the organizers shall be deemed as received by the runners.
  5. You are aware that long distance running is an extreme sport and can be injurious to body and health. You take full responsibility for participating in the OMR Run 2017 event and do not hold the organizing committee, the Sponsors and other associated companies or any of its members or entities responsible for any injury, accident, loss, damage, illness or injury that might occur as a result of your participation in the event.
  6. You shall consult your physician and undergo complete medical examination to assess your suitability to participate in the event.
  7. You also assume all risks associated with participating in this event including, but not limited to, falls, contact with other participants, the effects of the weather, including high heat or humidity, traffic and the condition of the road, arson or terrorist threats and all other risks associated with a public event.
  8. You agree to abide by the instructions provided by the organizers from time to time in the best interest of your health and event safety.
  9. You also agree to stop running if instructed by the Race director or the medical staff or by the aid station volunteers.
  10. You confirm that your name and media recordings taken during your participation may be used to publicize the event.
  11. You may acknowledge and agree that your personal information can be stored and used by OMR Run 2017 or any other company in connection with the organization, promotion and administration of the event and for the compilation of statistical information.
  12. You confirm that, in the event of adverse weather conditions, major incidents or threats on the day, any of the force major or restriction by authority, the organizers reserve the right to stop/cancel/postpone the event.
  13. You understand that confirmed registrations and merchandise orders are non-refundable, non-transferable and cannot be modified.
  14. The organizers reserve the right to reject any application without providing reasons.
  15. Any amount collected from rejected applications alone will be refunded in full (excluding bank charges wherever applicable)
  16. Runners are recommended to stay off the course beyond the cut-off time considering the safety and traffic regulations.
  17. For any reason you cannot turn up on race day, no refund of any form will be given.
  18. Eventjini is only a service provider and is not in any way responsible for the delivery of the event.
  19. If this registration is being made on behalf of a minor, I confirm that I am the parent / guardian of the child and that he/she has my permission to take part in the event. I further concur that all the above rules shall apply to him/her as if he/she were a major.
  20. Participants must personally appear for collecting the running Bibs. Bibs can be distributed in-absentee with written consent of the registered runners.
  21. Runners will not be allowed to stay on the course beyond the cut-off time considering the safety and health issues.
  22. You also understand and agree that You may be contacted by the Sponsors and Promoters of the event for marketing and promotion of offers and grant explicit permission to send me communications on my mobile number & email address provided here in above.
