Aarohi is a one of the popular and unique Retro Music Bands taking Chennai by storm with their innovative themes and presentation. The Band comprises a team of singers - professionals in theirown right, and amateur singers who perform to raise funds for good causes.
They have in the past raised funds for causes like the Multiple Sclerosis Society of India, Rotary International, Madras Kidney Trust and Hypertension Research Foundation, Hearts 4 Hearts, Children with Cancer, Karunai Illam etc.

The 150 minutes curated show will present an aural treat, uncovering the journey of the composers from the 50s through early 90s. It will trace the evolution of film music as it moves from classical influences to meld into the global culture. The infusion of western influences - jazz waltz, rock-n-roll, twist, disco and more... blending with our diverse Indian folk music and ethnic instruments to produce evergreen compositions.

And travel through the decades as music moves from simple melodies with just a tabla and harmonium to grand symphony orchestration with over two hundred musicians …brought alive by Chennai’s hot and happening music band, “Aarohi- Music for a cause”.
The performance scheduled on May 28th, the “World Multiple Sclerosis Day” has a unique element.Alongside the Aarohi singers, are 4 guest performers -including the founder of Swarga, Ms. Swarna Latha J, who is a living testimony of triumph and hope for other MS patients .

Swarga has been working to increase awareness about Multiple Sclerosis & other neuro - muscular disorders .

The focus is on improving  patient’s life with counselling, financial support for medication, hospital visits, and rehabilitation aids . 
The NGO has worked relentlessly to improving accessibility in public spaces & to promote a more inclusive society. 

The latest initiative is "Sarathi" in Coimbatore - a wheelchair accessible van, with a built in chemical toilet for anybody with mobility impairment for senior citizens to travel hassle free. 

Swarga Foundation spreads its wings to Chennai to raise funds to build a physiotherapy centre and replicate their other activities to more cities across India eventually  that will go along way to help the  patients with  our dedicated professional therapist both at the centre and at their door step where ever there is a need
