KIDS MARATHON

FRC, India KIDS MARATHON is a short distance VIRTUAL RUN to promote running among children. While there are several events that cater to adults, we felt the absence of such initiatives for kids.

The Goal of Female Runner Community’s KIDS MARATHON is to encourage healthy lifestyle for children and their families, and to help kids become physically active for a lifetime.

Kids between the ages of 4 to 14years are invited to participate in this virtual run.

OBJECTIVE OF KIDS MARATHON:

-To instill healthy lifestyle activities in children at an early  age.

-To increase outdoor play in kids.

KIDS MARATHON DETAIL:

DATE:- 13^TH and 14^TH NOVEMBER 2020

VENUE:- Own Place  (Virtual Run)

DISTANCE:- 1KM || 2KM || 5KM|| 10KM

AGE (open for):- Kids between 4 to 14 years

PRIZE:- Finisher Medal & E-Certificate

REGISTRATION FEE:- Rs 199/-

GUIDELINES FOR RUNNERS/PARENTS:

• Ensure the child is well hydrated.
• Warm up before and cool down after a run.
• Monitor the track or route your child is running.
• Its recommended that children aged Four to Six run between 1KM to 2KM, aged Seven to Nine up to 5KM, aged Ten to Fourteen up to 10KM.
• Its advisable for children to join a running group as its more fun and being with peers is great motivator.
